The WORST moving expereince EVER!!!

This moving company lacks professionalism. My first clue should have been when their moving truck broke down and I was unable to be moved on my original date. The next day, I scheduled a truck and they were running behind so again, I was not moved. The third and final day, I was scheduled to go on vacation and had to have my sister come and facilitate the move. When the movers arrived, one of the movers, Larry was basically useless. He asked my sister if I had left any money for him to move the big screen television. Why would I do this when I am paying them to move? Bruce, the other mover, was on the ball but Larry's lack of initiation, held him up. As Bruce tried to tell Larry what needed to be done, Larry proceeded to move at a snail’s pace which I assume was a measure to prolong my move therefore costing me more money. I live in a one bedroom apartment and it is on the first floor. The storage facility where I placed my belongings was a block away. There was no reason that this move should have taken as long as it did. Larry chose to carry one small article at a time. Once they arrived at the storage facility, Larry proceeded place minimal items on the lift making the move progress even more slowly. He told my sister that he had been employed for 8 years. I believe the reason he is employed by this company is due to his ability to move at a snail’s pace draining the customers of their money. Again, I lived in a one bedroom first floor apartment. Also, the person with whom I made my reservation with failed to mention that there is an additional charge for my television. They also did not convey that the deposit would not be included in the total. My total including the deposit was 611.16. This was the WORST moving company and I do not recommend it at all. They are unprofessional and unwilling to make the company happy.

Worst Moving Experience

All My Sons Dallas was a completely horrible experience. 2.5 hours later than the latest time I was told. The manager then proceeded to tell me that I would have 3 movers for the price of 2 to speed it up since they were so late. Once they arrived however, one was "sick" and just sat in the truck the whole time. All the guys were way too young and clearly not knowledgeable on how to quickly and effectively move things. The guys were so slow and tired because they had been working since early that morning so it took them 6 whole hours and I had to pay over $700... For a 1 bedroom! Don't do it!!! The manager was also very rude to me each time we talked and I tried to share my case that every expectation I had was not completed. As a young woman I felt completely taken advantage of and pressured so I paid it. This was the worst example from not only the movers, but the management! Manager actually argued me by saying his guys deserved all that money because they had been working hard since 6am! If you ask me, they are to blame for over working their movers. How could anyone be expected to do their manual labor job effectively for 17 hours!? If I had these guys first thing in the morning, I guarantee you it would have taken 3 hours.

All My Sons Moving - NEVER USE

Long story short, My 50 year old mother was completely taken advantage of. She was moving from a 3 bedroom apartment into a 2 bedroom apartment (both were 1 mile apart -- all within the 75287 zip code). The guys should up at 4:15, there were three of them; Kevin (African American), Chris (Hispanic), and Jessie (Hispanic). They were not moving fast while loading everything up. --- All items fit on one truck. Then they drove less than 1 mile to unload and demanded $1,100. My mother was expecting $600. They refused to unload anything until my mother paid them. Then they started moving even slower while unloading and broke one of her antique victorian chairs. They did not finish until 9:15pm. My mother felt very taken advantage of! Please save yourself the trouble and money and run away fast!!!!!!!!!!

I know someone who used to work for them.He said people say they have way less stuff on the phone and when they get there they have more than double the stuff but then the customer wants the same price.Then that move takes longer because of all the extra stuff so they get very late to the next move.Also I guess there is nothing worse than having to move a horder.They even had to cancle some moves because of bugs and rats.Some people said all their stuff was packed in boxes but nothing would be packed they expected the mover to do this and supply all boxes and packing materials for the same price.So all I can say is before you hire any mover educate your self on the process and then all should go well.

Severely overcharged

All My Sons gave an estimate of $139.00 per hour with one hour additional for travel. I needed the furniture (with some boxes already packed) moved from a one bedroom condo a half a mile to a storage unit. After completing the packing in one hour, they wanted my girlfriend whose condo this was to sign the estimate sheet for $939.00! She signed it based on the promise that the price would be adjusted once the job was completed. Guess what! The movers charged for five hours plus mileage of 22% of the total plus packing fees. They actually only worked two and a half hours. If you use them, call when they arrive and leave to document hours! After many hours on the phone they did adjust it one hour but still severely over charged me.

Bad management

They told me they would be at my place some time after noon. At 6pm, they still weren't done the place before me, and it was an hour away! So looking at 7pm at the EARLIEST as a start time, I said screw it, do the next day. Their excuse, they didn't say it was guaranteed. I think 2 at the most 3 hours after a starting estimate time is reasonable, 6 hours is not. I told the woman on the phone even the cable company isn't that bad! Would not recommend them to anyone, tired of banging my head on the wall for not checking reviews before I went with them. I've only seen one half way positive review of them. Obviously someone who works for them faking a review.

No Shows

My sons moving co. This company should not even exist!! No one should ever call this company. NEVER EVER! My brother & his wife called this HORRIBLE, WORTHLESS, JOKE of a company. Both of them have health issues & cannot and should not lift or move anything themselves. They were told previously that the movers would be arriving between 2pm to 3pm. On the day of their scheduled move, these PUKES called and said they wont be able to make it because they are still on their morning job. Well, thanks for nothing! Now these poor people have to scramble around to make other arrangements on the last day they are to occupy their residence. This is the WORST experience I've ever heard for a moving company!

Total Scam to be short

All my Sons Moved my wife and I from Justin, Tx to Kemp, Tx.......Never, ever, hire this company...total scam on quoted pricing vs actual. All my Sons failed to mention that the move would be paid for in cash, credit cards not accepted....it goes on and on..Failed to mention that without cash, the mover would drive off with your furniture and personal possessions and hold hostage until cash was paid. And failed to mention, that once they had your debit card info...would add charges above and beyond the initial quote...showed up to load with a truck to small...offered to send another truck, thereby doubling the cost. (All My Sons never sent anyone to my residence to evaluate how large the load would be.) This occurred in May of 2014; complaint filed with Industry Association and had no effect. Scam, Scam, Scam, buyer beware.

i call *** on this. you claim they don't tell you that you need to pay cash that no credit cards accepted? ok but how the *** do you let someone take your stuff without finding HOW you're going to be allowed to pay for the move.

second, you clearly lie in the complaint in where you say they won't take credit cards as payment then you claim that they take your debit card to add charges to it.

in closing

when you're going to post a complaint make it honest

or at least do a better job at lying

Victims of another crooked moving company

Was initially quoted $400-$450 for 4-5 hours and ended up getting told $1300. It took them 4 hours to load and then a mover quits on the job.

They went against their companies policy and took furniture that we were donating to charity. I told All My Sons what their driver had done and they called him on the job to fire him afterwards so he gets into my fiancés face and then quits on the spot. After a new team was sent out to finish the job with a supervisor they moved our property in 2 hours. How it took them 4 hours to load and it was a much longer walk to unload and an elevator.

Obviously they were taking advantage. With threats of keeping our belongings we were forced to pay $900 in order for them to finish the job. It does not make sense to pay $900 to move a one bedroom apt 8 miles. This is extortion and we were suckered in by lies just so they can get your business.

On top of all that they still kept the bedroom set that we were going to donate to the needy!

Our new residence had done previous business with All My Sons and management was so disgusted by their unprofessionalism and rudeness they pulled All My Son's moving license and banned them from ever doing business with them again. Not only are they terrible with customer service but they are crooks and extortionists.

Overall bad experience

My experience was the worst that I've had with any business ever. First of all, the movers were three hours late, and once they arrived the infornation they had about my property to be moved was incorrect. I was moving out of a three bedroom townhouse and they sent two men. I spent an additional 30-45 minutes arguing with the office manager Joe (for which of course I was being charged for) about what would be the "most cost effective" method to handle the move since by this time it was after 4 pm. My understanding with the gentlemen that were moving my belongings suggested that to move part of my belongings (approximately 25%) that day would cost me $3-400 and they would return the following day to complete the job. Two and a half hours later, only one bedroom set, a dining room table and some boxes had been moved, and the workers took multiple breaks to chit chat. I was billed a total of $656 for the work they had done and was given excuse after excuse about why the price was much higher than originally quoted, and even though the is being billed $149 an hour, my family which were on the property assisted with the move to help expedite the process. When I called the office to express my discontent, Joe, the person I spoke with somehow managed to turn around and blane everything on me, even though as a paying customer, my job is to do nothing. He was unable to provide me with names and phone numbers of management to further escalate the issue and expressed no accountability for any of the events that had occurred that day. I ended having to recruit my cousins who were still in town from burying our aunt the day before, to help me finish the 75% of our property that was still in the house. Because of the lateness, the bad talking of the company by the crew, the quickness of the the crew, the inflated price, but most importantly, the lack of professionalism, blame, and poor customer service that I received by this company I WILL NEVER EVER USE OR RECOMMEND THEIR SERVICES TO ANYONE. I ended up having to miss another day of work to finish the move, and am still waiting on management to contact me regarding my bill and my experience. Damage to office

Damage was done to the office while delivering our furniture. We filed a claim report. Reference .#271****. Dec. 13. An agreement of $100 was reconciled by All My Sons, but no check has yet been sent. Every time we call Your Office, people are not helpful, or say the checks in the mail. Horrible LYING Company do not use!!!!!!!!!

Do NOT use this company, they quote one thing and show up and make a normal job twice as long intentionally!!!!! This is the worst company I have ever dealt with, they claim family owned and operated, this is a joke. After repeatedly asking for a quote in writing and never getting one, this should have been my first inclination that this would be an issue. A job quoted at 119 for 8 hours turned into give us 1900 or we don't unload the truck. I hope they pride themselves in taking advantage of pregnant woman! It appears they saw the opportunity to take advantage of someone who appeared vulnerable.

In most cases, you should have your things packed and ready to go for the movers. A typical move should only take 5hrs.

(depending on the distance) But, if you, yourself are not organized it can screw the whole move up.

and being pregnant, may have caused you not to be prepared, which is understandable. You have other things to worry about besides packing boxes and getting them ready for a move.

I was rather upset when I wrote this yesterday so I apologize if I mistyped anything! My mother is elderly and I was the one speaking directly with the moving company! I was very clear on the rooms and square footage of the town home as well as what they would be moving! The quote was for 700$ after 8 hours of work they refused to unload the truck and tell my mother she owed them $1900 before they would unload anything!

nothing I have written is a lie- I am 4 months pregnant with my son!

I'm sorry you guys feel that bashing me with what should have been a seemless move that ended up being a horrible experience for mother. Geez!

Bad move, damaged property!

Whatever you do, DO NOT USE ALL MY SONS! While setting up my move was very easy and the manager on the phone said his team would treat me like family; the entire process was a NIGHTMARE! On the day of the move, the movers were 10 hours late! After promises to call me back with details throughout the day were made, I had to call the office constantly to get updated. Once the movers got to my place, there were three young men dressed in t-shirts and shorts and reeked of cigarette smoke. In the middle of summer in Texas I don't expect much but they could at least spring for logo-ed shirts. During the move-in to my new place, one of the movers decided to use my office chair to transport my two computers. Halfway to my apartment, he hit a door jam and my computers went flying. The mover tried to cover it up but there was no denying it. I contacted the moving company and they directed me to a claims company; We Care Claims. I contacted the claim company, filed the paperwork and 45 days later received a letter with a settlement for $7.20. My computers cost $1400 together and are totally in-operable. PLEASE DO ME A FAVOR AND DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY!!

All my sons is the worst experience of my life

When they showed up all seemed really nice, and helpful. Got everything packed on the truck in 45 minutes. I was moving to a location not far from i was living. Everything out of the apartment. Got to new place. First they tell that my wall mirror had broken in the move. After they left, i started looking around, and realized my pictures, and a small table were not in my new place. I made several calls, but to no avail. I have filed a complaint with the BBB on them. And will be filing a police report as well. It just sickens me that these pictures were just taken and they blew me off. I will be filing my claim with the We Care Claims Management company, but have a feeling I will probably get the same response and get blown off again. They completely ripped me off, and they were pictures in frames that can not be replaced. I would not recommend these clowns to my worst enemy. My heart is broken over what they took from me.

AMS - A Misleading, lying company - WORST EVER!

Called AMS on Saturday, August 17. Requested local move date of September 1. Was pleasantly surprised to be told they had a crew available (of course, now I suspect there was never a crew available--they are just trained to say YES as others have noted). Received a call today--4 business days later--to inform me AMS is not available to move me on Sept 1 after all. Now, I have very little chance to find another mover with that much less notice. But it gets better...I called the number of Michael, who left me the message. Waited on hold 32 minutes before giving up--and heard the same ANNOYING 1-minute Hold Loop. I even wrote it down--sound familiar? Woman's voice: "Welcome to All My Sons Moving & Storage. Please hold for the next Moving Consultant." Followed by cheesy Hold Music. Followed by Male Voice: "Welcome to our circle of friends here at All My Sons Moving & Storage. Your call is important to us, whether you're calling about our storage facilities or moving services. Or maybe you have a question or need to solve a problem (Gee, you think? How about you ANSWER the phone and find out!!). At All My Sons Moving & Storage, we feel and KNOW that you're the most important part of our business. And that without you, we wouldn't even need this tape. But in the interest of serving you better, we want to express our thoughts while you wait (what does this even mean, express your thoughts?? thoughts about what?? How terrible AMS is treating me??). So hold on please, it won't be long. Someone will be with you real soon." Followed by the same cheesy Hold Music--and repeated all over again every minute. Utterly unbelievable how bad AMS did at handling my call--and they did not solve my problem. At best, AMS misled me. It's more likely they flat out lied to me. I plan to post my complain on BBB and as many internet forums as possible. One of the WORST companies I have ever attempted to do business with. After reading some of the reviews from others who have completed a move, I suppose AMS did me a favor by *** me off to this extent. Now I cana find another company to do our move. So thanks, AMS. Thanks for nothing. Literally, you did nothing for me. And yet, that ended up being the biggest favor you could have done for us.
