Overcharged and incomplete work

1)They didnt show up on time. They said 8 am, and never arrived till 930 am. 2)They sat in the truck and chain smoked thus getting smoke all over my furniture and clothes, and still had the audacity to complain about pet hair. 3)The overcharged me by $300, because they took about 2 hours in breaks which they charged me for. 4)They sent the wrong sixe truck and werent able to fit all my furniture in the truck and because they didnt pack it correctly to begin with. 5)they still havent completed my move yet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and now wont return my calls. im pissed that thyey havent finished. thanks and i may file with BBB if they dont respond soon to me.

ALL MY SONS

They are a joke! The move was anticipated to take 6 hours (4 rooms total), travel time included. The only thing the movers had to do was to load furniture and boxes that were already packed. Not a lot involved. Nevertheless, the move took a total of 8 1/2 hours. Not to mention they damaged my dining table and chairs (cracked). When I called to get insurance information, they provided me with a phone number. The phone number was to an actual residence. I felt sorry for the man answering, who could only state he gets many phone calls. All My sons is a bogus operation with no accountability. They give you the run around about costs and claims information. They take money, not pride! Be smart, find someone else to move your stuff...the stuff you worked hard for!

Overcharge / Damage

All My Sons Moving & Storage of Sarasota / Bradenon FL I supplied an inventory in advance, and my quote was for a total of $1483, including pickup, storage at their facility, and delivery. The total charges turned out to be $2274. Their manual paperwork and creation of a manual inventory list delayed the loading and added to the hourly charge at pickup. I advised them that I had already provided their office with an inventory list, but they charged me for the time to create the list anyway. At pickup, the movers pushed papers at me to sign, without the chance to read what I was signing, apparently this included a revised inflated estimate.. When I mentioned this, I was told, take your time, you're paying for the time. Since I would be charged for the idle time, I signed, hoping to have their office adjust the charge later. At delivery, I was again pressed to sign inflated credit card slips. The movers refused to unload until I signed. Again, I signed, hoping to have their office adjust the charge later. All this manual paperwork should have been computerized for speed and accuracy. The signature paperwork should have been forwarded to me in advance for me to read and sign. I had little choice, but to sign and deal with the overcharge later with their office, since I was being charged for their time. I disputed the charges with their office on several occasions, but they refuse to issue any adjustments. In addition, the movers damaged a wall and broke several pieces of valuable antique china which they packed. I submitted the required notarized claim form . I later discovered additional damage, but they refuse to consider any additional claims. I received an offer to settle the damage claim... $1.06 !!!. And, to receive the $1.06, I have to pay to have the settlement offer noatarized. In my opinion, All My Sons Moving & Storage is a dishonest company that fraudulently inflated their quoted price, and will not take responsibility for the damage they caused. They wait until the customer is in a "must move" situation, then they inflate the cost, knowing the customer has little choice but to accept. I would advise everyone to stay away from this company, and hire a reputable moving company.

All My Sons Moving & Storage of Orlando, FL

I got a job offer and needed to move quickly. I went online and requested quotes and received several from $2,400 - $5,000. The total cost turned out to be almost $10,000 with All My Sons Moving!

I received a call from the owner's - Ambrose - son-in-law. They were available immediately - should have been a red flag for me when everyone else was booked!

They carefully wrapped every single item - at first I was thrilled, but then realized they were delaying the packing and loading and adding to the hourly charge. At the end of each day, the movers pushed papers at me to sign, without the chance to read what I was signing, apparently this included a revised inflated estimate. I paid for the first day - Friday, and they promised to back early Saturday morning. I paid $2,400 for Friday! They came back around 8:00am Saturday morning and started packing. I had to run errands and cancel cable, water, electric and go to the bank. I picked up pizza and chicken for the movers and brought it back. They were still moving and were supposed to be finished by evening!! I panicked at 8:00pm when they were STILL packing and stopped and said they would have to come back! I had already committed to be at my new job on Sunday at 12:00pm in Tennessee. So I asked them to tell me how many more hours it would take them and I would prepay - they did and I paid - over $7,000!! To make matters worse, they did not finish until the following Tuesday morning and called me to demand more money - $1,900! I absolutely refused and spoke to Ambrose and reminded him they had given me the cost to move me and I expected it to not change!

In addition, the movers damaged several pieces of decorative glassware - I had taken them off of the ledge they were on and they were not broken. When I asked they said they were broken! I have no idea what other damage their may be now that they finally moved everything into storage.

In my opinion, All My Sons Moving & Storage is a dishonest company that fraudulently inflated their quoted price, and will not take responsibility for the damage they caused.

They wait until the customer is in a “must move” situation, then they inflate the cost, knowing the customer has little choice but to accept. I would advise everyone to stay away from this company and any company that jumps so eagerly to do the work for you - hire a reputable moving company. No matter how big of a rush you are in, take time to check their reviews first!!

Do not use them. The move was horrible. They started at 10:30 in the morning and said I would be in my new house between 6-8 pm. They left the next morning at 4:45 am. I didn't get to bed until 5:30 and was completely exhausted. One of the two moving trucks broke down in my driveway and couldn't be repaired so everything that had been loaded now had to taken off and reloaded onto second truck. They broke several pieces of furniture including smashing the marble top of our favorite buffet. As they got more and more tired, they were more and more careless and were obviously rushing to get the job done. I would never use them again.

TRUE PROFESSIONALS

After moving with All My Sons Moving in Broadview, Illinois I had to share this. I can't say enough about this company! From the time I requested information online til the time the movers were leaving my new driveway it was nothing but easy for me. An upbeat estimator called me right after I asked for info on their website, was very thorough in taking my information, patient to understand my concerns (my last move went so badly that i put Eric the phone rep through the wringer by grilling him on his men/service) and it turned out to be up front and honest pricing. My last move was so bad I almost swore off moving companies entirely. So I was very apprehensive about this move. Eric took the time to give individual attention to the details that were important to me, and he referred me to their website where you can get hints for having a stress-free move, and also informed me of ways to save his men time, which saves me money. Turns out its a full service company and they can do as much or as little as you need. Ima thinking next time i'm not gonna have to pack or unpack. We arranged the move about 2 weeks in advance and I have to admit that I was still worried. Moving day came, the crew showed up on time, impressed me with their teamwork, diligence, and efficiency. I had debated with the idea of motivating the crew by saying there was a tip in it for them if they didn't screw off. Thankfully I didn't even have to, they knocked it out quickly, coming in under-budget than what i was quoted! They earned thier tip, my thanks, and future referrals. TRUE PROFESSIONALS!!

All My Sons Movers Chicago

A fantastic experience from the start. starting with knowledgeable sales people to competent courteous movers. Had great hints on website to ensure a stress-free move. Full service moving company that will take on as much or as little as you need. This is what moving should be like every time.....The sales rep took the time to understand my move and make me feel at home before i even moved. Other companies just wanted to throw numbers at me without even understanding the needs of my relocation. that's a bad way to start the relationship. helpful website, was able to enter in my info, request a quote, and was contacted almost immediatly after i submitted my request. They seem to believe in taking care of the customer from the beginning. I was able to get the start time that i wanted because i planned well in advance and due to some helpful hints given by the estimator, i saved some money on my move. move day started with the movers showing up on time and they just attacked my move. all the furniture was protected (means a lot to me since i have numerous family heirlooms). and boxes removed and loaded efficiently. (other movers i had prolonged the job by carrying one box at a time). got to the new location with no walls damaged or items broken. the final bill even ended up being less than i was originally quoted. This freed up some bucks for me to tip the movers for a job well done! boxes went into the corresponding rooms and they set up my beds for me and also an L shaped desk (of my daughters) that i loathed putting together upon its' purchase. they were efficient with the loading and unloading and ready to go on to the next job of the day. - one thing i liked.....they had another job to do, which means their mission was to get it done and move on, not drag out my job for more money. upon the unpacking, i was pleased to not have anything missing either. Overall this was a great experience, i was recommended this company and will continue to do so myself.

Thief Alert: All My Sons Moving and Storage, SLC, Utah

Hello all. I am in the process of moving and I recently hired All My Sons Moving and Storage of SLC, UT movers to pack and store my living room furniture and plus approx 3000 books n my home library. After the movers left I discovered that valuable kitchen ware, camera gear, art supplies and art work, jewelry, clothes, jackets, vintage dresses, etc, had been taken from other rooms in the house without my permission. When I inventoried what they have in storage I found that over 2/3 of my books are missing/not in storage as well. I am in the process of trying to recover these stolen items but AMSMS denies that their movers took my belongings and that any of my books are missing. DO NOT HIRE ALL MY SONS MOVING AND STORAGE! THEY ARE THIEVES!

All my sons: serious property damage, overcharged

All my sons moved my furniture two weeks ago. they caused $2,000 property damage (broke dining room table leg off, with other damage), smashed one of pair of ceramic table lamps which cannot be replaced, and smashed shade for floor lamp. They then set table up to conceal damage to table. when its position was adjusted, the leg fell off. crew chief quit working at 3 PM. 11 hours for 6 hour move. no response to complaint, no claim form. filed complaint with state department of consumer affairs. what a rip-off! i'd been warned about them, but didn't listen.

Bait and Switch

I think the fact that it cost $495 for an in-town move of a piano and a couple of armchairs speaks for itself. They gave me a quote based on travel time + move time ($375) and then called me back less than 24 hours before the move with a different story about "minimum hours", without mentioning the implications for the quoted cost. They entered all the new costs on the paperwork after receiving signatures. The movers themselves were nice guys, but the guys on the phone were shady. They were unwilling to rectify my complaint and were rude. Do not use them!

All My Sons Movers had hidden fees and held our held our furniture for ransom until we paid up.

When my husband booked the service, we were told that the our furniture were insured. Not true! Also the movers tried to charge us for suppose extra hours in case they went overtime. Although we had paid for the actual work time, the movers held our furniture for ransom until we submitted to their demands. It was a nightmare!!! After agruing with the movers back and forth, my husband finally decided to help them unload just to get them out of our house! Additionally, this company claimed to carry insurance but only a very minimum (.60 per Lbs). It's as good as none! Do not use this moving company. It deserve to be shut down!!!

When I had to move, I had to call them, I was going through a difficult time and they offered to move me with no money down, when I was able to get the money up too pay them, something was odd, the place i had moved from i had back pay as well, but this place being run from another management wanted the movers info so they knew I was going to move, little did I know this moving company as mentioned was reporting back to the management of where i was moved from telling them lies that i had a job and where i was at, next thing I receive in the mail is a collection agency slamming me with its been told you are now employed and you owe this person(housing management) this amount of money!!!

Now the only ones who knew my whereabouts was this moving company, not the management as I had only spoke to them months before this happened and told them I was working on getting things in order but couldnt give a time frame but, here I get a collection notice in the mail demanding payment for the management company, "how did they know where I was at???" I will tell you how, this moving company was reporting back to them on everything!

This moving company which is located in Cudahy Wi, Claims they did no such thing.

This experiance kept me from paying the bill I owed, I mean after why would I want to pay a moving company a back bill for storage if they are going to run to others they have no connection with, and then have that personal start badgering me, I was in the works to get everything paid off but noooooo it wasnt good enough!

Since when does a house or apt or condo management have the right to collect the information of what moving company you use to move you and on top of that use them to track you? Isnt that illegal? isnt that considered stalking?

So naturally, I let this moving company auction my stuff off, I mean I lost all my clothes EVERYTHING. And for someone to expect you to give up something for a small bill especialloy when its the only thing you have left is utterly ignorant.

Why does the Housing authortiy allow such deception, then your expected to SUE? with what? your freaking Eyeballs?

Stop calling the kettle black here!

How would you like it if someone screwed with your life? Would pay an arm and a leg to see that happen! you deserve it ya freaking fakes! Since then I dont own a thing and with the economy the way it is if it were to be turned around These people would be the last on the totem poll to recieve anything, considering their behavior and their arogant attitude thinking they are better than others and above the law. All these people do is harrass and pester, I can see why people refuse to cooperate! I dont blame them. They are crazy and out of line big time.

You dont like what i say? TOUGH learn to give people a chance and maybe you would win more bees with the right pollin insted of vinager from the fly! Get a clue YOU ARE NOT GOD!

Lost several cartons, and arrogant - denied it

The person in charge of the Ft. Lauderdale office gave us a tour, confidently asserting the privacy and safety of the system, insofar as our goods were placed in their own sealed wooden crates to be stored in their facility. This was in theory but not in practice.Several cartons were missing, in which my mom's sterling silverware, silver pieces, crystal vase, CDs and DVDs, ornately decorated metal work candlesticks, large crystal block with interior carving. a few uncirculated coins, some sentimental items, such as Princess Diana's commemorative towel, etc. Two wooden tables -their glass tops missing and presumably broken, and three framed pictures, their glass fronts chipped, and/or shattered, served to push me along the continuum from insult to injury. To top it all off, we were subjected to the height of arrogance by being accused of lying, of never having possessed the missing items! Needless to say, I will never utilize the services of All My Sons in the future, and I hope this suffices as a warning to beware of seemingly reassuring movers. Additionally, purchasing the more comprehensive insurance policy, which would have reimbursed me commensurate with my losses in a more equitable manner, was given short shrift as an option, and thus was not purchased.

Stolen Items, Terrible Customer Service, Mis-leading advertising, lying!

I hired All My Sons for my move on 2/21/09. We had used them on 4 occasions prior, and while the service wasn't the best, it was at least mediocre. On the morning of the move, the crew arrived, and the chief was very nice. An obvious salesman, but still very nice and accommodating. I had gotten my estimate online for the items we were moving, and it was to be around $900.00. I figured that would be a little pricey for a move that was only 1 mile away, but since they were doing all of my hard work I went along with it. The crew started packing up items I told them that we were leaving at our home. After correcting them many times, I found later on after the move they packed it all anyway. There were items out on our lanai that were not packed that we had forgotten about. The crew chief said we had to initial a small part of the contract stating that they had to pack a few items. I did so, with no trouble. He even told me that it wouldn't be much money and that they had it 'under control'. These were items that were property of the new home owner, that my wife and I settled on in our closing agreement. We had to lug all of these extra boxes back to the house for the new owners, despite telling All My Sons. When the moving truck arrived at our new home, the crew chief came upstairs and told us that the bill for the move was over $3000.00 and that they could not unload the truck until that was paid. I was shocked. I had no idea that this would be so pricey and at no point did anyone tell me it would be. Not the owner or manager 'John' who I spoke to, the crew or the operators I set it up with. The crew chief told me that because they had to do 'so much packing' that this was why it was so much. All of the items 'packed' were items I told them NOT TO TOUCH and that they were property of the new owners of the home. This I found out after the move and when I opened the boxes. They really only had to pack 3 boxes for us, as the rest was not meant to leave that house. I had left the old home for the new and left my wife to oversee the movers and getting out of the old house, while I set up everything at the new place. I wish I hadn't. They completely took us for all we were worth. I left to get some drinks for our kids and when I came back the movers were gone. A very large TV was sitting on the floor of our living room, and items I told them pointedly to leave downstairs in our storage area were up in the apartment. They obviously weren't listening to anything I said. When opening the boxes, I noticed MANY items missing. I am missing my baseball bat from little league that I had for 35 years. I had planned to give it my son when he started playing. My wife remembers them carrying it to the truck, but it never arrived here. All of my collectible hot wheels from the 70s, star wars figures, and baseball cards are missing as well. Two leather jackets and other family sentimental items are all gone. When I called to straighten all of this out, the owner was always 'in a meeting', or 'not in'. I left countless messages with the office which were never returned. The people in the office told me they 'cant help me', when I tried to explain it to them. I sent letters both certified and faxes and have never heard one response. I'm not a rich man, and I dont have money to get a lawyer and pursue these criminals. If I could, I most certainly would have. PLEASE do yourself a favor and do not use this service. They WILL lie to you, and they WILL steal whatever isn't nailed down.
