All My Sons Moving And Storage
Reviews and Complaints
Bad experience
I contacted All My Sons moving company in early March to move 2 pieces of furniture. I was told that their calendar was not very busy for the following day, and we arranged the move.
I was charged an initial fee of $100; I don't recall if this fee was non-refundable but it was part of the overall price. They were to meet me at the store at 10 a.m. the following morning, and Allen from AMS called to verify the move.
The morning of the move Allen left me a voicemail to the effect that it would be closer to 11 before they could pick up my furniture. I waited at the store, and sure enough, I received ANOTHER call saying they would be there in 20-30 minutes (by now it's after 11).
At 11:35 they called AGAIN and told me they'd be another 20-30 minutes. At this point I'd lost all confidence in them, and cancelled the move.
Their excuse was that they were short a driver and that a customer before me had asked them to do some additional work. I could have lived with this explanation had they refunded my $100.....but they refused.
Their position was that it was non-refundable, and when I reminded them that they were almost 2 hours past the agreed upon time Allen told me he had work to do and 'would see what he could do'. Of course the charge remains on my credit card.
All My Sons DID NOT complete the work I'd asked them to do (and yes, I did cancel them, but what was I supposed to do?) The only saving grace is that I hadn't paid for the furniture; had I done so that would opened another can of worms
This is the only time a company has failed spectacularly to do something, and refused a refund.
- Are spectacularly unreliable
Preferred solution: Full refund
User's recommendation: Do not use them!!! Two Men and a Truck may be more expensive but they have always showed up within 15 minutes of the agreed upon time.

Absolutely terrible
The only good area in this company seems to be their sales department.
We moved during the coronavirus pandemic, and I am considered high risk, so it was important for us that the movers weak masks.
The sales department promised us (in writing) that his would, of course be the case. They were more expensive than other movers, but their commitment was what won us over.
Of course their commitment was, just like the rest of their service, absolutely worthless.
Not only did the movers show up without masks, they didn't use the ones we provided for them.
On moving day, they arrived hours late and what they estimated to be 3 hours of work, turned into twice as much.
The big mess started, however, when they arrived at our new home.
First, they arrived hour later than agreed upon there too.
It was Friday afternoon and you could clearly see that they were already in their weekends mentally.
First, they made us sign some paperwork before unloading and of course the amount charged was way above the quote we got.
So, they hold your furniture hostage, so you have little choice other than to pay up.
When they finally unloaded the truck, it became very obvious why they made you sign upfront: The pieces which weren't broken beyond repair were scratched or dented.
Not a single piece of furniture made it into the new house without damage.
On top of that, they lost pieces from furniture and therefore weren't able to put a single bed or our fridge back together.
Washer and dryer never made it up the stairs into the laundry room and were just left in the garage. A dresser was left in the kitchen and my 4,000 dollar fridge was scattered in pieces.
As it was getting late and it was obvious that they were nowhere complete with even just moving the furniture into the right room, let alone put it back together, they promised us that someone would come the next day to finish the job and had us sign something again.
It turned out later that the fine print of what they made us sign at 10:00 pm after an exhaustive day confirmed that a walk through was done and the move completed.
Of course, nothing got done the next day, or the day after.
After calling for about a week, they managed to finally get someone onsite to move the washer and dryer and the remaining dresser.
My fridge was still in pieces and so was my fridge.
We called their customer service and got nothing but the runaround treatment.
They didn't even attempt to finish the job.
All this has been 3 months ago, and we are still fighting this company.
It is clear that they have no intention to complete the job or fix the mess they caused.
The only thing they were fast on was to overcharge us.
I guess what one of their movers told us at the end is true: "The moving business is a shady business to begin with, but this company is terrible"
Should have told us that before ruining our property.

Inaccurate quote, added expenses and lack of customer service
All my sons at 513-948-**** quoted $447.50 for a one and a half hour move on 8/21/2020. Literally 5 pieces of furniture less than 1 mile delivery.
On 8/26/2020, the movers were very professional and even spotted additional packaging charges that they called to have deleted from the bill.
However, the office insisted that the move had to be charged at two hours. The final cost was $612.18. That was $164.68 more than anticipated. I received no paper work for this and don't even know the name of the franchise, just their number above.
Since the move had been completed by the time I was aware of the additional charges I had no choice.
The mover said I would get a small discount if I gave them a favorable review.
That's buying reviews if you ask me.
I just wanted corporate to know of these underhanded tactics.
I had refrained from giving the company poor reviews because the men who actually moved the furniture were great.
However, I have shared this poor experience on some local neighborhood site when others have asked for recommendations for movers and made it clear that the above number was my contact point.
The corporate website does not offer contact information to lodge a complaint other than a customer service number that could not get me to someone who could hear about this. Seems like they don't want to know.

DISAPPOINTMENT
I have never seen a company more unprofessional than All My Sons Moving. This company quotes false prices and will then tell you that your items will not be released until paid.
Movers showed up without tools we had to drive to new home to get tools to come back so movers could complete work.
Movers stood around for countless minutes knowing that customers pay by the time. We advised movers that bed was going to be a challenge and because of their lack of knowledge and planning they broke our bed frame. We packed and moved all household items and only left seventeen items to be moved by All My sons moving. The cost was over a thousand dollars to move 5.3 miles from Norfolk Ave to Potters Rd.
The claims for the damaged bed frame we supplied all required documents.
Even receipts when purchased and pictures of damage. Claim process was drawn out and only reimbursed a little over a hundred dollars.
User's recommendation: DO NOT USE

WORST. COMPANY. EVER.
DANGER. CAUTION. WORST MOVERS. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE.
This was the worst moving and customer experience. If Facebook allowed businesses to owe customers stars, they would owe me more than 5.
Save yourself $915.93 (including $50 tip). It’s not worth the frustration, headache, empty promises and patronizing you will receive from Mike and/or Dan.
1. Dan (part owner of All My Sons) confirmed my move date the night before and said that the movers will show up sometime between 8-9:30am on Friday and that they would call me before they arrived. I moved from North Attleboro across town to North Attleboro and their offices are in Attleboro. Dan told me that they should be on the earlier side since their office is close to my house. The movers showed up at 9:30 and never called. I have a very anxious dog with a torn ACL and I had to get him out of the house before the movers showed up. Needless to say; that didn't happen. The movers also seemed annoyed that I asked them to go back to their truck so I could get my dog out of the house.
2. It took 3 men 1 hour to take my bed apart. I am 5’4”, 110lbs and I have taken my bed apart and put it together 6 times. Again. It took 3 men, much bigger than me, 1 full hour to take my bed apart. They also didn’t have any of their own tools and had to use the tools from my toolbox. The only things I didn’t take apart was my bed and my dining room table. My bed has 8 nuts you unscrew, and my table has four legs with 2 screws each. Oh, they lost the hardware for my bed as well.
3. They almost left my toolbox at the house. My mother, who was on site, had to tell them to take it with them. She also asked them to take my printer and the movers asked her to put it in her car. This means the toolbox was the last thing they put in the back of their truck and the first thing they had to move to get my other stuff out of the truck. THEY TOOK MY TOOLBOX. We didn’t even realize until my mom went back to my old house to see if it was there.
4. I boxed everything and meticulously labeled every box on all four sides and the top with the rooms they were to go in at the new house. I also disassembled everything and labeled everything not in a box. I moved from a 1 story rental house about 1000 sqft. Everything was pulled out of all the rooms and left in the large main room and all they had to do was put in the truck. It took them two hours and they left a bunch of stuff clearly labeled at my old house. Including a blanket that fell out of the ottoman, they were moving. They left that on the floor at my old house. Mike (part owner of All My Sons), tried blaming my mother (who was on site), for the movers leaving things behind. THE MOVERS ASKED MY MOM TAKE THINGS IN HER CAR. They were clearly not putting anything else in their truck
5. NONE of the things made it to the rooms they were supposed to go in. Most ended up on the kitchen, dining room and porch. All on the first floor. Nothing made it to the basement. Again, I have a very anxious dog with a torn ACL. It was very important for things to at least make it to the right floor, so I didn’t have to keep going up and down the stairs. I guess I didn’t explicitly tell them this after the movers asked me why my dog was limping on 3 legs and after I told them he was anxious. Guess they didn’t really care and was wasting even more time.
6. Things labeled “fragile” were left on its side and with boxes on top of them. My ottoman was left on its side as well. Which normally wouldn’t be a big deal. But both sides open for storage. They actually mentioned to my mom that it wasn’t closing right or something when they were moving it from my old house and they LEFT IT ON ITS SIDE IN MY LIVING ROOM. They buried my dining room table against the sink in the kitchen. And left a giant box in the middle of my porch that was clearly labeled “basement”. Did I mention that NOTHING MADE IT TO THE BASEMENT or any other place it was supposed to go?
7. It took 2 hours to unload my stuff at my new house. The majority of the moving happened between me leaving for my closing in Attleboro and my dad showing up at the house. My new house is in North Attleboro and my parents live in North Attleboro 10 minutes away. I passed my dad heading to the house. If you think about it, it doesn’t take that long when you just dump everything at the entrance of the house anyway, yet they took their sweet time for the first 1.5 hours. The bags with clothes in them had holes in them with clothes spilling out of them. I know this because I had to move them from the first floor to the second floor……all were labeled “bedroom”.
8. I had to call All My Sons 7 times, yes 7 times, the day of the move to find out where my toolbox and the hardware for my bed were. EVERY TIME they said someone would call me back. No one ever did. I started calling at 4:30pm and I finally got my toolbox back at 7:30pm. NO BED HARDWARE. Dan dropped it off and I had my dad wait with me to speak to Dan because I already knew that they would not listen to me. We told him everything that happened and told him how frustrating it was to have someone tell us they would call us back every time and yet….no one ever did. Dan told us that he couldn’t get a hold of his guys after he called them the first time...Dan also told us that he was going to work to find my bed hardware or replace it and investigate refunding me some money for the move. Surprisingly enough, none of that ever happened.
P.S. My nice set of DeWalt Allen wrenches are missing, but I have a random set of metric Allen wrenches now.
9. My bed hardware was never returned, and no one called me (surprise surprise) to tell me that they would reimburse me for the hardware, that they couldn’t find it or even APOLOGIZE for losing it, which meant that we had to go out and get new hardware so I could have a place to sleep.
10. I called again the following Monday, 3 days later, and spoke to Mike. The other owner of All My Sons apparently, who spoke to me like I was incompetent. He asked me who was at the house because it was up to that person to make sure nothing was left behind. He completely ignored all the other terrible experiences I mentioned and even said: “I have to check with the guys about the bed because if you THINK there are only 8 nuts then I don’t know”. If I THINK…no no Mike. I know I’m just a lowly woman but I, in fact, know how to take my bed apart. Mike also tried guilting me by reminding me that Dan brought my toolbox back to me in his personal vehicle on his own time. Really Mike. Because Dan had to take personal time to fix an issue his workers created means I have no right to file a complaint? Woman are smarter now Mike. Liberated even. That sort of underhanded manipulation to play on our emotions and make us feel bad and shut up doesn’t work anymore. He also told me that he would personally call me back. Oddly enough, NO ONE CALLED ME BACK. I had to call them back 6 hours later. Seeing a pattern yet??.
11. I recommended All My Sons to the people who moved out of the house I bought. They used them. I told Dan and Mike this and they didn’t seem to care. I also recommended them to someone else who is moving soon. I will be retracting my recommendation.
12. The previous homeowners were still at the house I moved into when the movers showed up. They told me they saw a mover drop something and it broke apart. I assuming that’s why I had random tax papers out on a coffee table, but I can’t remember what they were in. They also heard a loud crashing noise from the truck when they left and told me that they didn’t look like professional movers. They will be calling All My Sons to tell Dan and Mike what they saw. I’m sure Dan and/or Mike will say “I’ll call you back”.
13. STILL UNRESOLVED. After calling All My Sons back, after Mike personally promised to call me back earlier in the day, I spoke to Dan who told me that he needs to have a meeting with others in the company and speak to the movers because refunding me for this horrible experience is up to several others. Not just him. He told us (my father and I) he was going to speak to the movers that moved me the previous Friday and get back to us. He has now promised to call me back on Wednesday at noon with an answer. I WON’T HOLD MY BREATH DAN.
05/02/2019 UPDATE: Dan did not call me on Wednesday 05/01/2019 as he promised. I received the below cookie cutter response from someone allowed to log in to their Facebook page and then no response. I called their customer care line on 05/01/2019 and spoke to Jessica who said she would call me back the same day, even if she did not speak to Dan or Mike. SHE DID NOT CALL ME BACK. I called her and left a voicemail. I even replied to the Facebook post from All My Sons saying they would personally like to fix the situation, stating I did not get a response from the customer care contact. NOTHING.
05/02/2019 UPDATE: Still no call back from Jessica from customer care. I called Jessica, again, and she said she hadn’t spoken to Mike. She said she was going to speak to Dan. But, apparently, she wrote Mike an email instead and hasn’t heard back. She hung up with me to call them and said she would call me when s he speaks to Mike.
I can call All My Sons and Mike, or Dan will answer every time. They are the only two people who have ever answered the NINE times I’ve called and yet Jessica can’t get a hold of either of them? Either way, customer care can’t a hold of a local branch, which seems like a huge internal issue, but no one seems to care.
I have left a voicemail with Doug Hillman, Customer Care Manager stating that NO ONE has called me back and I have been promised a call back 8 times by Dan/Mike and twice by their customer care. I highly doubt I will ever hear from them but my list of updates are ever growing and I keep the BBB updated.

I had an estimator come to my house, Ed Huddle. I showed him every single piece of furniture that had to be moved and he counted all of my boxes.
He gave me an estimate of $1,300 but said it was a little high and it shouldn’t take that long. When the move was over, I was presented with a bill of over $2,000! How could your estimator be so far off? He gave me a reasonable quote just to get my business and then he cheated me.
This was only a partial move; the main move has yet to be done. I need my entire business inventory moved and well as five of my employee’s families. There` is NO WAY I will use your company for my future move. Also, the dirty deed of giving me the huge bill fell on the movers, not the estimator.
This was chicken *** You not only treat your customers like crap, but you treat your employees even worse. Ed Huddle should be ashamed of himself. Your company owes me a $700 refund and an apology. I will make it my goal to let the public know what a horrible company All My Sons is.
How can you people sleep at night? Have you no sense of integrity?

I just had a horrible experience with them myself where they charged me over 1300 to move a house under 800 sqft and they left half my stuff at the old house! So I still need more movers but now I'm flat broke! I'm so pissed.
